Shag Navstrechu ("Step forward" in English) is an association that deals with orphaned or abandoned children with physical and mental disabilities.

They try to commit their time by making artisan work shops or small training courses and organize trips to nature or museums for them thanks to the help of loving volunteers.

Meeting one of the managers of this association was very touching because she told us and described how their work is developed and with whom. Many of these children are orphans but often are left in institutions voluntarily because parents are unable to deal with them due to lack of economic means or lack of management skills but sometimes it can also happen that they are voluntarily abandoned because they are affected by some type of disability.

Shag Navstrechu takes care of them in a didactic way by stimulating their skills with work shops, learning courses, trips and above all a lot of love. In recent times the association is trying to organize family homes where these children can go once they reach the age of majority, because once they become "adults" by law they must leave the orphanage in which they find themselves. It is therefore necessary to find them a structure in which to insert them and continue to take care of them.
