Center Innovations was founded in 1996. The goals of the organization are to support, prepare and organize programs and projects that are related to progressive innovations in the sphere of working with people that are in need of social support in St. Petersburg.

The main focus lays on working with children from families that happen to suffer from difficult social life situations. They help children and youth from families that are effected by HIV/Aids.

Why are the projects for children from HIV effected families important?

  • the families are scared of discrimination if the diagnosis is disclosed

  • HIV positive children have special needs because of their weak physical state

  • HIV positive families need to be near people who can understand their needs and fears, especially with other families also effected by the same diagnosis

What does Center Innovations do?

  • individual and group consulting by psychologists

  • patronage of families with children

  • group meetings with parents and their children

  • participation in cultural programs

  • material help

  • legal support to families

  • individual sessions for children in sand therapy

  • help to create a positive parent-child relationship

  • educational events for children

  • craft group for children

During the year Center Innovations helps 56 children from 42 families.
