Center for Music Therapy is a non profit organization is aided by IWC and provides individual and group rehabilitation for children and adults with developmental disabilities.  [To make a direct donation, scroll below.]

It all began...
From an initiative called "People of the Earth together", an international cooperation led by Walter Nowiсk. In 1993, Yulia Firtich founded the centre and still continues to exercise administrative leadership to this day. 

The music therapists working at the centre are:
Solovyeva Natalya Gertrudovna, Rybezhskaya Galina Petrovna, Konstantinova Tatyana Nikolaevna, Krasnova Elena Aleksandrovna and Akisheva Anna Igorevna.

These specialists use a unique method of creative music therapy that was first presented in St. Petersburg by Alan Wittenberg, famous American specialist in the field of musical therapy (visit http://surrymusictherapy.com/the-st-petersburg-center/).

Besides this training, all of these specialists are trained in multiple other disciplines, ranging from musicology to psychotherapy. 

COVID-19 Update 
As of June 6th, Natalya Gertrudovna explains that the Center is in the process of reopening after a two-month break due to the COVID-19 outbreak. They will call clients to find out who is ready to resume therapy and are planning on starting classes on June 15.
