NGO "Separate Waste Collection" (РазДельный Сбор - in Russian):

NGO "Separate Waste Collection" (РазДельный Сбор, Razdel'ny Sbor) was founded in 2011 in St Petersburg. Now it's a national organization with branches all across Russia and thousands of volunteers. Our main objective and goal is to educate Russian people about waste, recycling and waste prevention. We are most famous for our monthly events (which take place every first Saturday of every month), where together with hundreds of volunteers, in 20 locations all across St Petersburg we accept recyclables from citizens - in order to send them to recycling facilities. This helps to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in a landfill. Nowadays, more than 11 000 people from St Petersburg come to our events with their own recyclables. And we are proud to say that "Razdel'ny Sbor" has played a significant role in creating of the infrastructure for separate waste collection not only in St Petersburg, but in many other locations in Russia.

In addition to maintaining and expanding the recycling infrastructure, we also interact a lot with the Government (on a local as well as on a federal level) - we try to influence the legislation as much as we can, hoping to steer it more towards a circular economy and waste prevention.

Last but not least is our interaction with Businesses: being one of the best experts in Russia on the topic of waste, we provide consulting services to different businesses: from international corporations (HoReCa, FMCG, etc) to local companies. We provide trainings for adults as well as for kids - about waste and waste prevention. And we implement separate waste collection in offices (connecting our Clients with recyclers).
